Did you know that Thanksgiving is the leading day for cooking related home fires.

• Make sure you have working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home.
• Stay in the kitchen when cooking on the stovetop. 
• Keep floors clean with not tripping hazards or obstacles in your way.  
• Keep cords tucked away where they can't be stepped on, bumped into, or accidentally pulled out. 
• Keep children 3 feet away from stove while on, and out of reach of cords for appliances being used.
• Stay home while cooking anything, do not leave your home while the turkey is in the oven.
